It's good to see dynamism in the design of the 6th world. I know players who still play 1st ed and they won't even look at 2nd ed, let alone a 4th! That kind of thinking leads to stagnation I feel. I for one, am looking 4ward to checking it out.

I pre-ordered from amazon, but nothing yet. Perhaps I should have gotten the e-book. Are you guys planning anything in the Supplemental to coincide with the release of sr4?

Playing our first run with SR4th rules. Like the book for the most part. No longer need I use my carefully contemplated character to compete with the over wired Gunner for actions. I think that some aspects are a bit depleted to make room for the upcoming supplements but methinks you could have been a bit more generous with the Karma points for we now need to make numerous (2 or 3) runs to make any improvements upon our characters. Looking forward to the future upgrades.

Especially like the Matrix interface and the Magical improvements. It all makes for an improved and cohesive 'run.

I feel your pain about the Karma, but from a realism oriented standpoint, just because the Rangers complete a difficult mission, doesn't mean that they've gained any significant improvements to their hard skills (shooting, dodging, etc...). That takes time and focused effort. Besides, nothing worth doing is easy.

Im not so convinced that the setting for Sr4 is quite right, there seems to be too much of a big brother society what with drones scanning overlays and highlighting hidden users and the implicit ability in the rules to hack a PAN and remote operate cyberware which could if used in the right place could get someone in trouble,
